The fish fry is an easy fish recipe which can be prepared without much effort. This fish fry recipe is a combination of spices with fish and simply shallow fry. The result is so good that I can’t describe. You can call it as a fish fry masala recipe. This can be one of the easy recipes for lunch, easy recipes for dinner Indian.

You can either consider it as an appetizer or side dish. Eastern part of India especially in Odisha and West Bengal, generally people prefer to have it with rice. But in many parts or some restaurants, you will get it as an appetizer.

This fish fry recipe doesn’t need any hard work, that’s why we consider it as an easy fish recipe. This won’t take much time in preparation. Ingredients

  • 600 gm Fish
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (1 tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 3 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 chopped green chili
  • 1/2 cup chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder (1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin/jeera powder
  • 1 tbsp fish masala powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • Salt
  • Oil

Instructions

  • • Take 600gm fish slices in a bowl.
    • Then Wash the fish slices thoroughly.
    • Put 2-3 tbsp lemon juice and 1tsp salt into the fish. Mix it.
    • Keep it aside for 10minutes. Then drain out the excess water of the fish.
    • Now add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder,
    • cumin/jeera powder, fish masala powder, red chili powder, 2 chopped green chili, ½ cup chopped curry leaves, soy sauce, 4tbsp corn flour, 1tsp salt, and 3 tbsp mustard oil.
    • Mix the fish with all these spices very well.
    • Leave it 1 hr for marinating.
    • Now take hot fry pan. Put 4tbsp mustard oil.
    • Then shallow fry 4-5 pieces fish at a time.
    • Cook it on medium flame till it turns into golden brown or crisp on both of the sides.
    • Now serve hot fish fry by garnishing coriander leaves.

Notes

Here Preparation is 1 hrs which includes marination time of fish.
Mustard Oil is more preferred for the fish fry.

Step By Step Procedure For Preparation Of Fish Fry
