Gajar Ka Halwa | Carrot Halwa Recipe Without Grating
Gajar ka halwa also know as Carrot Halwa is a very easy recipe. It is mostly prepared in winter. Although carrot halwa is very famous in North India, now it is one of the favorite dessert recipes of the whole of India.
It can be prepared in different ways with a little twist, but we will make it using full-fat milk, ghee, and sugar. If you want to use khoya, you can use. However, we will not be adding khoya.
Since we are preparing an easy & less time taking Indian sweet recipe, we will prepare Gajar halwa without grating. It’s because grating takes time and effort. We will simply cut Gajar into small pieces and grind it coarsely with the help of grinder.
Very important thing! We have used a red carrot which is tender and juicy.

Gajar Ka Halwa | Carrot Halwa Recipe Details
Ingredients
- 500 gm Carrot
- 1 cup Full cream milk (1 cup = 240ml)
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 4-5 piece Cardamom
- 1-2 tbsp Ghee (1 tbsp = 14-15gm)
- 1/4 cup Dry fruits ( cashew and crushed almond )
Instructions
- Wash the carrot and peel the upper layer of the carrot
Cut it into small pieces and blend it into coarsely, not a fine paste. Transfer it into a deep pan and cook on low flame till the water get reduce. Now add ¾ cup of sugar and mix it. Also, add 1-2 tbsp of ghee and mix it well. When the water from carrot gets reduce completely, Pour 1 cup of lukewarm milk. Now add crushed cardamom, dry fruits and mix it.Stir it continuously on medium flame till it changes the color. Serve hot carrot halwa. For better flavor, you can add ice cream also.
