Gobhi Ke Pakode also known as gobi pakora is a very simple recipe. Gobhi Ke Pakode can be consumed as a snack with Tea. Mostly People like to prepare this recipe in winter because during winter production of gobhi is more. This recipe is very easy to prepare and it is very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 12-15 medium-sized cauliflower florets
  • 1 ½ cup gram flour (Besan) ( 1 cup = 240 ml )
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste ( 1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 tsp ajwain (Carom seeds)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp masala powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tbsp chopped green chili ( 1tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
  • Salt to test
  • Oil ( for deep frying )

Instructions

  • Instructions for Making Gobi Pakoda
    • First, cut the cauliflower florets in a medium size.
    • Now take 2 cups hot water in a vessel. Mix 1 tablespoon turmeric in it, and put the cauliflower inside it.
    • After 10 minutes, take the cauliflower out of the turmeric water and put them in a bowl.
    • Add 1tsp salt, 1tsp chaat masala, 1tsp garam masala, 1 chopped green chili, 1tsp ajwain.
    • Now toss it, and leave it for 30 minutes to marinate.
    • In a bowl take 1 ½ cup gram flour(Besan), 1tsp salt, 1tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp dhania powder, 1tsp amchur powder, 1tsp ajwain, 1tsp ginger garlic paste, 1tbsp chopped green chili and 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves. Mix it properly.
    • Make a batter by mixing it with ¾ cup water or as required. Keep in mind that the batter consistency should not be too thick or thin.
    • Whisk the batter up to 10minutes for more crispiness.
    • Take one pan and pour oil into it.
    • When the oil gets hot, dip the cauliflower floret in the batter. Take care that batter should be covered from all the sides of cauliflower.
    • Now put the cauliflower floret in the oil, fry it on medium flame.
    • Once fried take it out from oil and sprinkle some chaat masala on top of it.
    • Serve gobi Pakoda with tomato sauce or any green chutney.
