Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpeas/ black chana ( 1 cup = 240 ml )
- 2 medium size chopped onion
- 2 chopped green chili
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste ( 1tbsp = 14-15 gm )
- 1 tsp turmeric powder ( 1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 ½ cup besan/ gram flour
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for toast

• In a bowl take the 1cup black chickpea and add 1 ½ glass of water.• Soak overnight for 7-8hrs with water.• Pour 2 glass of water in a pressure cooker. Add soaked chickpeas with 1tsp salt. Allow the Pressure to cook for 7-8 whistles on a medium flame. • Allow the cooker to remove steam automatically.• Completely drain the water from black chickpeas. Shift the chickpea in a bowl.• Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, chopped green chili, besan/gram flour, garam masala powder, 1tsp salt and ½ cup of water.• Mix all these ingredients with your hand perfectly by adding water. Do not smash the chickpeas.• Make the mixture thick not runny.• Take a hot nonstick pan and add 2tbsp oil.• Put a small amount of mixture on tawa with the help of a spoon, and give it a flat or round shape.• Toast on medium flame till it turns in to golden brown on both side of the base.• Your Kala chana Tikki is ready now.• Serve hot Kala chana Tikki with tomato sauce or green chutney.
