Ingredients

  • 2 Raw Mango
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil (1 tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 2 tbsp Crushed Ginger
  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder (1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Dry Red Chili
  • 6-7 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Panchforan
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Jeera powder / Cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery (1 cup= 240 ml )
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Take 2 raw mangoes, and take out the peels from the top.
    Cut the mangoes into pieces.
    Take a pan, and roast some cumin seeds. After that crush these cumin seeds to make cumin powder.
    Now put mustard oil into the pan.
    Then put Panchforan, dry red chili, curry leaves into it. Allow it to splutter.
    Now add crushed ginger and fry it.
    Next, add 1tsp turmeric powder.
    Then add mango pieces.
    Now put salt, and mix it.
    Add red chili powder.
    Cover the pan for 2-3 minutes on low flame, for mangoes to get cook.
    When mangoes get cooked, add jaggery into it.
    Now put some lukewarm water into it, and mix it.
    Finally, add roasted cumin powder and mix it.
    Mango Chutney is ready to serve now.

Notes

Don't forget to roast Jeera/Cumin, and crush it to make a powder.
