Ingredients

  • 1 cup unroasted Rava/Suji/Semolina ( 1 cup = 240 ml )
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) ( 1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 medium sized chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped green chili ( 1 tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to test
  • Oil as required ( for roasting )

  • Instructions For Making Crispy Rava Dosa
    • In a bowl take 1cup Rava/Suji, 1 cup rice flour, ½ cup all purpose flour/maida.
    • Then add cumin seeds, chopped green chili, chopped curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves. Mix it well.
    • Mix the dry ingredients with 4 cups of water. Make sure there should be no lumps. The consistency of the better has to be thin.
    • Now add salt according to the batter consistency.
    • Cover the dosa batter for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes mix it again and you will see the perfect Consistency of Rava dosa batter.
    • Take hot tawa and grease it with oil.
    • Sprinkle some chopped onion then pour the batter with the spatula from the edges to move towards the center.
    • Then spread oil for roasting on the side and top of dosa.
    • Cook on medium flame till it turns into golden brown or crisp. Roast it only one side. Now Fold it.
    • Serve hot crispy Rava Dosa with peanuts chutney or coconut chutney.
