Ingredients

  • 4 Medium Sized boiled Potato
  • 1 Chopped green chili
  • 1 tbsp Chopped ginger (1 tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves ( 1 cup = 240 ml )
  • 2-3 tbsp Jeera/ Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder (1 tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp Amchur powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

Instructions

  • • Boil the potato and cut into pieces.
    • Roast 1 tbsp Jeera on low flame.
    • Crush the roasted Jeera.
    • Put 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
    • Then put Jeera/ cumin seeds, green chili, chopped ginger, and turmeric powder. Allow it to splutter.
    • Now add potato into it.
    • Add salt, red chili, coriander powder, Garam masala powder, amchur powder, and fried Jeera powder.
    • Mix it well and cover it on low flame for 1 minute.
    • Put ½ cup chopped coriander leaves. Mix it.
    • Now sprinkle leftover cumin powder on top it. It will give a nice flavor.
    • Serve hot Jeera Aloo with any Paratha or chapati.

Notes

keep little cumin powder around 1/2 tsp for later use.
