Capsicum Aloo Tikki Recipe

  • 2 Big Size Capsicum
  • Oil ( For Shallow Fry )
  • 5 Medium Sized Boiled Potato
  • 3 tbsp Bread Crumbs ( tbsp = 14-15 gm )
  • 2 Chopped Green Chili
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder ( tsp = 4-5 gm )
  • 1 tsp Jeera/Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp Amchur Powder
  • Salt to Taste


  • • In a bowl take 5-6 medium size boiled potatoes, peel and mash them.
    • Add 3tbsp bread crumbs, 1tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp salt, 1tsp garam masala, 1tsp jeera powder, 1tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp amchur powder, 2chopped green chili. Mix it well.
    • Now potato stuffing is ready, you can keep it aside.
    • Then cut the upper part of capsicum with circular shape by moving the knife all around of capsicum and remove the stem with the help of the knife. Now you have to fill potato stuffing inside it.
    • Fill the potato stuffing with the spoon into capsicum & press the potato stuffing towards down for well settled.
    • Cut the capsicum into ½ or 1 inch with circular shape by moving the knife all around of capsicum.
    • Heat the pan with 2 tbsp oil.
    • Shallow fry on medium flame for 2-3 minute then turn it.
    • Now cover it for 2 minutes, so that the capsicum can be cooked well.
    • Again turn it into other side and leave it for 1 minute without covering.
    • Garnish it by sprinkling a pinch of chaat masala.
    • Serve hot capsicum aloo tikki with tomato sauce or green chutney.
